Art: Days 10 to 21 of #30Daysof Creativity - in one piece

It's Day 21 of 30 Days of Creativity - and I've not kept up to date with it - until now! Each highlighted word represents each day's theme from 30 - from 10 to 21. It was harder than I thought it would be to write. Bringing heat like a toaster Your words draw pictures in my mind with bright crayons You free my mind like Abe Lincoln And Eureka-ify Albert Einstein -style Your love’s a picnic of treats and assortments Delving deep in your ocean I swim among sea creatures Hipsters unconventional like us Hold superpowers untold My feet never touch the ground when you’re around I’m like a beach ball in the sky – in your air We’ve got a love with platypus -defending proportions People can call this cheese , but I don’t care, I'm overcome with emotion  Get involved with 30 Days of Creativity   xoxo

Self: The key to fulfilment - #Day7 of #30DaysofCreativity

(If you have read my blog posts before today in the month of June 2011, you'll have noticed I've been putting up drawings for the 30 Days of Creativity . Today I have decided to creatively deviate and write an actual post :) ) Last weekend something clicked. On Saturday, The Fly Blog alerted me to a feature about fulfilment from The New York Times and the following particular sentence struck out to me: "Most of us are egotistical and most are self-concerned most of the time, but it’s nonetheless true that life comes to a point only in those moments when the self dissolves into some task. The purpose in life is not to find yourself. It’s to lose yourself. " Wow – I think I'd heard sentiments like that before, but it really struck a chord that day, I don't know why. And in church on Sunday, the minister assigned to direct our prayer points highlighted: "[Here in the UK] Next year, the Queen will have served the nation for SIXTY y

The 30DaysofCreativity continue. I sketched Alicia Keys from the 'As I Am' album cover just before the clock struck midnight, so it's rushed. (Time management issues.) In other Alicia Keys related 'news': Unthinkable (I'm Ready) remains my fav AK song of all time. If you're doin' the 30 Days too, I hope it's going well! Let me know how it's going and what you think...

Day 3 of #30DaysofCreativity

"30 Days of Creativity" 30 Days of Creativity is a social initiative encouraging people to create stuff (anything) every day for 30 days in June. "Your brain is like a muscle. When you exercise it, it gets stronger." (Above - T'is a link you can click on) I love portraiture so this I what I intend to focus on for the month... But portraits aren't just faces so look out... Day three: Well, here's the thing. I started day two, but wasn't happy with the results - here's a snippet of George (of Clooney)'s Eyes... I could have done something else, but I forgot all about it! :) Here's day three's results - Erykah... Happier with this result, but still... On to the next one... The first part of this post was a link, but if you don't scroll on everything like me to see if it's a link or not, type in http://30daysofcreativity.com/ (or go on and start a new habit - it's a link :) )
